Yeah, it's *just* attached, they have to reattach it, I didn't ask for details, just made the appointment.

I let the lawyer know, and set the physical therapy appointments (to learn to use the wheelchair

).

Next I'll call the university and let them know i need to shift from teaching into admin speciality.

Dac is somebody's kitty alright, but she's off to a scrapbooking convention leaving him home alone to eat cold lima beans and stale toast.

Leftover potatoes, carrots, and roast beef.

"Disabled" is a legal classification - it does not reflect your actual abilities, talents, or what you are capable of physically doing in the future. Please keep that in mind. It's a legal classification and nothing else.

Hugs to you, my knife dancing friend.

It means you get the close parking spots.

I know. It's because my certs are to work with 0-8 yr olds and at those ages a wheelchair isn't exactly workable. So I can't say go teach preschool, as i can't do the lifting and other physical demands of the job. So i'm on temp disability so I can either retrain or hit the 18 months for perm. Again, not sure how to feel.

Don't sell yourself short. I know a wheelchair bound mother of young kids that does fine. She also races.

Thanks hun. I do fine getting around here, but getting a new job where i'm required to lift kids would be dicey. Even if they legally can't discriminate i'd not be hired.

My mom's best friend was a quadriplegic who taught in the elementary school same as my mother. If she dropped her pen than a student would politely stand up and put it back in her hand for her. Mom taught with her forever... don't really recall how many years they taught together but mom put in something like 30 years teaching.

Barb still holds swimming records for the area before her injury. She was injured at a party when the deck collapsed while she was still a young woman. Very unfortunate but my mom loved her dearly and so did her students.

There is, but i have to take a few different classes. I can go in for older grades 4th > college, or else into elementary/preschool administration. To teach 0-8 you must be able to lift the children, and that doesn't look to be advisable even after i walk again. If I was still working for the school, they'd have to make arrangements, but since i'm laid off...

I have no idea how much hatching eggs cost.
Saddina, I feel so awful for you. Did you remember the name of the thing that is tore yet?

And my son says the chickies stink now. Guess that means he doesn't want them in his room anymore. I don't wanna put them in the garage. Well, he's not home right now, so I am going to bring them in from outside and put them in his room!!
