Thanks! The battery is charging now... My poor chickens are going to get so tired of the shutter noise. But, on the bright side for them, the D5000 has a quieter shutter than my old D50. And as far as I know, they weren't tired of the D50.

Maggie if you have ANY tack that you want to get rid of PM me and we can negotiate. We have saddles and bits. That's it. We can't afford new, so I have to look where I can. We got the saddles for $100 each and they are in great shape.
How much was your camera?? I have the Canon Rebel xTi 10.2 mp and it listed for $999, but I got it on sale and had a coupon and wound up paying $690.
