Seems like forever...I had ducks as a kid and would help my grandparents with the chickens when we visited. But I got my own a little over 2 years ago. I've got a variety of purebreds and mutts, standards and bantams. I love them.

How did you get adopted by chickens?

We have only had them about 31/2 weeks now... They are from what ppl on here say Pr's or RIR's...

It looks like the one in the back is a pullet. Are you going to get more girls?

If it turns out that I only have 1 pullet Ill have to right?? But then that means Ill have to do something with all thease males.. I dont want a huge flock right now cause I have a small coop and can not afford to get a bigger one right now.. We were thinking in about a month or two we were either going to build one or buy one built. Do you know of any place that sells cheap coops? Do you think any one would trade a cockeral for a hen and if so who??

I usually put my extra cockrels up on Craigslist for free, I know most of them will probabaly be invited to dinner, but as long as I'm not the one that's going to process them, then I'm okay with that. That would be rare person indeed who would give you a pullet for a rooster! Whenever I sell pullets, I either sell them on Craigslist or take them to a poultry swap and sell them. That might help you find a few more girls.

Darling, if you don't think a cop can pull someone over for bull to stop and question you... ugh, it happens, alot. Aftican americans get this treatment, since 911, arab americans do too. Heck we were pulled over one night @ 1AM, no traffic issues, but the cop wanted to know where we were going in the middle of the night (black cadaliac driving thru the ghetto). Once he realized it was mr saddi driving (a man so pale he glows), it was "oh sorry to bother you", when the neighbor across the street is pulled over it's a 10 minute question and answer, followed by a fix-it ticket (no one's tail light is out monthly), differance? Kenny's a 6 ft black man, mr saddi is white.

Well they can't get you for being here illegally if you provide a valid ID. Thats all you've got to have for proof that you are here legally.

I made a new friend today! Well, I went for a walk in our pasture and I let our neighbors graze their cows are horses on it. So I'm walking and I see their "very scared of humans" horse. I SLOWLY walked up to him, he doesn't move. So, now I'm about 4ft in front of him. He backs about 2 steps back. I hold out an apple, he eats it. Now he lets me stroke his nose.

I wanted more...He let me stroke his neck and back, I got a hug too...Now I'm friends with the horse. I wanna ride him now

So, I lead him to a tall hay bale. I get half way on his back to see if he would buck. No bucking! I get on, he's kinda scared, I couldn't feel him tensing up. I stroke his neck and it's all good. I'm gonna go back out there with my saddle tomorrow! I'm Crazy!!

Sass, wear a helmet! You've got the Touch with animals, especially horses, but you don't know what hidden frights & quirks this horse might have that aren't apparent at the moment. And most of all, don't break your typing fingers.
