Good morning

I do not have to work today! There is no school today!
But, I did apply for a summer position. Guess I find out later today if I get it. If I get it, this will be the first summer that I have worked since I started working for the school over 10 years ago. Except one summer I did sub for 3 days for the lady that had the summer position. She wanted to go fishing.

Debi, you have been busy.
I've missed a lot of this thread, so not sure what everyone's been doing.

Today is GS birthday, he is 5 years. Oh my gosh, already. Gonna make a cake.

On Saturday, my first day off for the summer, I played with my pony, then went for a walk with DIL and GD. I tok her to the park that stinks,

Well, its the slough, and when I was growing up, we always said, eeewww stinky slough. But now days, its a tourist attraction.

After that, we went swimming. It was GD first time in a pool, she is one. She had a cute floatie thing that I pushed her around in.

Sunday, I kicked back most of the day, played with my bunny and washed dishes.
Today, gotta go to town, for cake ingredients and presents.

I actually don't mind dishes. I cook so much that I've gotten pretty good at doing dishes as soon as they get dirtied. But not nearly as good as my grandfather, I'm afraid. He's like the dog from the move 'Up': Dirty dishes? Where? This was very useful in chemistry during lab work. Everyone had to rush to clean up the lab when the bell rang, but my table was spotless.

Oh gosh, my coffee's all gone. Guess I need to go get a refill.

He is! Babies are so cute. I like them best when they're sleeping... and not crying.

My mother told me I very rarely cried as a baby. Even when my father forgot to feed me for a whole day. His excuse? "She never cried. I thought she wasn't hungry!"

It's so hot outside, but it's sooo boring running on the tread mill.

If I ran outside, I could take the dog, but we'd both get overheated by the third mile. Ack! I'd have to cut it down. Decisions, decisions.

It had been hot here. In the 80's, very hot for here. But this morning I woke up to drizzle and about 58*. That's good running weather.

I keep saying I want to go jogging on the beach, I will do it this summer, I will I will I will!!
