well, has bween quite the project this morning. It is 11 pipes 21 feet long, not 21 pipes 10 feet long, phewww.
Found the tow holes, one above the check valve and one below the check valve, just as the guy yesterday said it was gonna be.
pump has tested 210 psi, a new one is 250 psi, all we need is 100 psi, so I made the call, (for 5 houses and 20people) to keep the pump, and only replace the 11 pipes, wiring, pressure gauge and well lid. We will build the well fund back up so hopefully the pump will last another 3 years or so. But 210 pressure sounds pretty darn good, not too much wear. Pump life span is 7-10 years, we are at 7 years, but not a whole lot of wear, and we do not have the funds to buy new pump at this time. YIKES!! I had to make the call for all these people. So far, they are agreeing with me, the ones I got to talk to.
Anyway, hey Tex, I asked about the 3 hp pump, and they said something like, because of the depth of my well being not that deep, and because I really only need 100hp (or whatever) that 3hp would be overkill, cuz of the amount of water in there, and that I could go down to a 1hp, but I chose to keep 1 1/2 hp cuz thats what we've always had, and I have two uphill houses. So if any of that makes any sense from a blonde female. who's now a grammie.
Any hoo ways, I think this well/pump company who is the place that drilled this well in 1961 and takes care of all this area the most, knows what they are talking about, and takes good care of us. They explain lots of stuffs to me.
So, they are out to lunch right now, I've been taking pics, but won't post them on here, as I am not golden right now,

Oh yea he was scared, so it was good practice hanging out with pony and talking to him about whats happening, and gaining some more trust with him in scary situations, cuz he's a scared pony, but not too bad scared pony, and he's building my confidence.
Oh yea, and for those of you who know about Rosie, well, the people I traded her to for Pony, well, long story short, they gave up on her too, and then the next lady has a hard time with her, and then the people that came to look at her, she gave trouble to, so it really wasn't just me, she is a difficult horse, and so far, I am the only one that has done so well with her. Hmmm, I got her rearing to stop right away, but no one understands her nervousness, and doesn't give her the time to overcome her fear, its so sad, makes me want her back. But I am a grammie, and it was hard and long, but you know what, now I see I WAS doing a good job, even though it was taking forever and ever and ever........................
I'm rambling, so better go.
