Frilled pigeons

I have read frilled don't mate as easily as other breeds/mutations. And that some people trim the vent feathers. Do I need to do anything special for them to mate? I'm just curious before I put up nest boxes for my frills.

I have read frilled don't mate as easily as other breeds some people trim the vent feathers. Pigeons copulate when the ♂ treads on the ♀ back butting their anuses.
Wise fanciers inspect all birds from time to time (Frills or not) and especially during breeding season removing any soiled or obstructing feathers to insure good copulation and fertilization.
