Thanks everyone for the pics, tips, & opinions.

LilBizzy What kind is your frizzle - he has a different type of comb than mine does? I actually have a couple of silkies too (my first frizzle & my first silkies). They are also about 7 weeks of age. I just went out to take pictures of them while they were together - poor babies - they were sleeping and I woke them for pictures (at least I didn't take them out though).

I brought the frizzle & silkies inside to sleep - even though they are 7 weeks old, they don't seem as feathered out as the rest (different type of feathering) and I was afraid to leave them outside all night (our low is 48 degrees now).

For size reference with silkies:

This is Frizzle next to the biggest silkie (the buff):

Phalenbeck I'm tempted - I think we may try that for a while and see what happens. Two nights ago, our temps went down and I brought the frizzle & silkies inside together. The next morning is when I heard him crow. I think he was crowing because he missed all his easter egger girls and was calling for them.

I'm leaning towards standard, but am still not sure. Even without the feathers, he is definitely larger in body than the silkies, but is smaller than the EEs. The buff orpington should be larger than the EEs when fully grown, but is smaller now - maybe the frizzle is the same way?

Here are some better pics from straight overhead.

From left to right - Frizzle, BO, EE, silkie (and next to a size 9 women's foot - accidental, but maybe helpful?)

I believe my litte guy had a silkie/cochin mixed mom, and a frizzled D'Uccle as a dad. I hatched 3 silkies with them- my first frizzles and silkies. Once they got to 4 weeks old, he was only half the size of the marans, but a tad bigger than the others, as seen here:

Prior to that, he was slower to grow, but still a lot smaller than the marans - but notcie he is also a little smaller than the silkie:

I had a bantam rooster before- it was a light brahma, and I thought it was cute because of it's size. But little Barney- he's only half the size of that rooster we had before. I still couldn't guess if yours is bantam or not, but from my experience, the bantams are noticably smaller than the regular sized.

Either way, he is totally adorable !!!
