Frizzle or Sizzle?????

Ok I think I am more confused now than before lol

I posted a similar question when my chicks hatched from my Frizzled Black Cochin Roo and Silkie Hens. I got some hard curly Frizzles and some hard straight feathered chicks.

I was told that none of my chicks were Sizzles and that in order to get Sizzles, I needed to keep a Frizzled roo chick with black skin and perferably a flat comb and breed him back to my Silkie hens. Since both parents need to have the Silkie gene. Is this correct?

I lucked out and got just such a chick, so I am hoping for some Sizzles in the Spring.

If you are looking to get really nice quility, then you want to breed a frizzled silkie with a silkie, you will get 50/50, or about that.
both frizzled silkie and silkie should have dark skin all around body,( head, toes, legs ect.)
toes should have 5 toes on each foot. and walnut combs.

Or option 2, if you ended up with a frizzle cochin x silkie, take that one and breed it with a pure great quility silkie.
the babys will be maybe some look like the cochin side but you may get lucky and come out with the silkie traits with the frizzling.

OK! No Frizzle - Frizzle Breeding! I have a beautiful Red Cochin Bantam Frizzle Rooster! What should I breed him to - to get the best frizzles?

I am also getting a White Cochin Bantam Frizzle hen - what should I breed her to?

thank you! now, I just have to find a red cochin smooth feathered hen!! Needle in a hay stack around here!! hahaha! Oh! well the black silkie hen will have to do until I find the Red Hen.

INCORRECT. Sizzled do NOT have silkie feathering--that would simply be a frizzled silkie. A sizzle has frizzled NON-silkie feathers. All other traits, however match the silkie standard.

This is a sizzle:

edited to add, the earlobes are actually blue, colour is off in the photo; the wattles are redder than I prefer
