Frizzle Question

I have a question. We have a course frizzled rooster, not like some of the softer looking frizzles I"ve seen on here. Are they suppose to be so course or could theres be a couple of generations. Not the best picture. I'm breeding him to cochins, do you think his offspring will have the softer look or be course like him.??

the look of a frizzle will depends on feather quality.

The expression look best on wide medium length feather, longer feather will look flat-ish and hard feather will look rough.

I think yours bred with cochin will give the desired type.

Great . We love him,he is the sweetest thing. Loves attention, but I'd like something softer. We were going to take him to a show last weekend, but the blue cochin rooster pulled out alot of his neck feathers so we didn't take him. They are separated now.

ahhhhhhh a sizzle would be very cool

I ended up buying 30 frizzles from Ideal in red, white, and black. I grew them out to see what I had. You can tell cochins sex a lot quicker than other breeds, at least to me. I kept 2 white pullets, 1 black pullet, and 1 red pullet. I have a blue cochin rooster (still a little tyke) to breed to them.
