I love this thread. I have a frizzle and a sizzle. I only have a couple of pics of my white sizzle from months ago but i will take more pics tomorrow. Here she is. I just love how gentle she is, just like my silkies.

Where do you get your frizzles from i would like to get some to show?

Where do you get your frizzles from i would like to get some to show?

Most all of mine are mixed breeds.What breed are you looking for?Any breed can be frizzle.The most common breeds that you can find frizzles in fairly easy are polish and cochins.

I have a question...how old are chicks when you can tell they are frizzles? My frizzle roo, Chickie, was a rescue chicken that was running down the side walk one hot afternoon. I can only guess he was about two weeks old when I found him but not sure. I could tell something was different about his feathers right off. The first pic is the day I found him and the last pic is how he turned out.

I can usually tell in two weeks,give or take a day.When their wing feathers start coming in.

Ok, thank you. So I guess I was correct that Chickie was about two weeks when I found him. He had wing feathers that sort of stuck out so I knew something wasnt normal about that. I didnt know of frizzle or anything about chickens at that time.
