Frizzle thread

I am new to the frizzles but quickly fell in love with my white bantam cochin roo (Flash), Recently he and a smooth partridge cochin hen hatched two frizzle babies. The babies are about 8 weeks old and definitely in the awkward stage of feather growth. I have two questions that I hope someone can answer though. Both the red (has some partridge markings) and one that I do not know whether it would be called a mottled, paint or splash ... mostly white with some black tipped feathers a few black feathers with white in the middle have blue/gray eyes. Is this common? I guess it is easy to figure out that my second question is concerning the 75-85% white chick with black markings. Until I can get a picture posted can anyone give me a best guess? I have mottled d'uccles and they are 85% or more black with some white and those white or black feathers are solid colored not this tipped variety or 2/3 black 1/3 white feathers that I am seeing in this bird. Not the best pics just wanted to try to show feathers and if anyone wants to guess roo or hen let me know.

I do think they are so sweet and it really surprised me when this hen only hatched out 2 chicks and both were frizzled. This is her second period of going broody and she is only a year old. The first time we just gave her a variety of eggs and she hatched out 6 and proved to be a great mother. Lol she would not let us take away the chicks until they were about 13 weeks old. I think she only allowed us to at that point because she hatched out a faverolle and a faverolle/maran mix that loved to climb on her back even though they were almost half her size. I think she finally got tired of them getting on her back and said okay they are yours now. She hid the clutch that these two were hatched from and by the time we found it we just decided to let her keep it and are very glad we did with these two cuties being the result.

I also have a smooth calico cochin hen that I plan on giving to this roo early next year after she starts laying. I am wondering what I can expect from those two. Any ideas on that?

I am no expert on frizzles but as for the chick in the pics above, if the dark spots are blue than it is splash, but, if they are black I'm not sure...very pretty though whatever the markings are called!

Havent seen this thread! I currently have 1 Frizzle, Joey. He's a sweet guy.

Frindizzle was my other Frizzle. She died in July while I was in Italy.
