it looks like a lil girl to me as the crown is smaller from front to back...been my experience that the boys is same size from front to back! she is a beauty!! she will be your ugly ducklin story im sure! she has big curious eyes!! here are some pics of my new lil ones from my naked neck showgirl silkie roo and my bantam cochin frizzle, the babies are spectacular!! and one baby is a rhode island red / silkie mix...she is awesome!!

Can frizzle bantams polish top hats n silkies all b keep together if there all around the same age
I have all of those together with a maran roo and americauna they vary by a few weeks in age but all get along great. Would pick on the new guy at first but now all stick together and each has a best friend in the group..typically a different breed from their own. Very cute MIne are from 8-12 weeks.

I have been reading through this thread hoping it could be true... It was said somewhere that a frizzle can just happen. I had a mixed batch of eggs hatched out (by my broody hen and a confused turkey hen;) and this was one of the first 3 to hatch out of 9 ... Can I call it a frizzle? and a girl? She/he

will be 8 weeks old on Tuesday. She/he is way smaller then all the other chicks. I believe she/he is half Buff Orpington and half EE.....

This is Iris.... She/he has way less feathers then the others and is very small..... Hope that helps... Thanks.

she does not look frizzled to me

If her flight feathers are not curled then she is considered a smoothed feather. I would like to know if anyone has had a friizle just show up in their breeding flocks. If so, what breeds or is it like the odds of being struck by lightening??
