Frizzle thread

I want a frizzle!!!!!

Has anyone ever ordered from an online hatchery and gotten a surprise frizzle?

How do I find reputable breeders in CT?

Here are my other two funky feathered beauties. I love them both.

I would watch out with hatchery frizzles. If you mate a frizzle to a frizzle you get 1/2 frizzle, 1/4 normal, and 1/4 frazzle. Frazzles have a double dose of the frizzle gene, and their feathers are extremely brittle, and eventually fall off. Frazzles generally have naked patches, red irritaded skin underneath, and lead sad lives. Some hatcheries mate frizzles to other frizzles and sell them, when they're really selling frazzles, which is not a good thing. So, if I were you, I would get frizzles from a breeder, and not take your chances with a hatchery. Good luck!

There are a few people who sell them here on BYC auctions. You could also post a wanted ad under the Buy ~ Sell section.
I think that BYC member ~ Ilovefrizzles sells hatching eggs and sometimes chicks and she lives in Georgia.
