Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! Perhaps your cranky neighbor could give you a couple of weeks to see if Carl would mate with, is that a RIR hen? Then of course, if you let her sit, you'll have a bunch of chicks to deal with, but it's another shot of trying for a frizzle hen if your heart is set on one. He's so beautiful so I'd want to! Frizzle is a dominant gene so you'd stand a good chance of getting a few more.

He’s already trying to mate with the girls haha. Little scamp! They are putting him in his place though

Lol, I'm assuming you're not in the US? I read that the first time and imagined your neighbor crawling over the fence brandishing a flame thrower threatening to light your coop on fire.
