frizzled quail?

Yeah it's more than likely from A & M x A & M though you can get it from Tux x Tux (but i dont consider them A & Ms), and Brown tobrown can also produce A& M (as a recessive) or Brown to A & M

As long as the brown carries the A & M gene

The A&M aren't my favorite coloration, but I could handle it if the feathers were special;)

It amazes me how fast they grow.... these quail were all hatched out w/in a week of each other. I set one of our chicken eggs too to see if our roo was fertile. He was & we haven't gotten an egg yet from his sister who was in the same hatch as him!

I used to like A & Ms but they are too unthrifty for me. Now my whites that look like A& Ms that are actually just overly white tuxedos are very robust and lay nice eggs

have you tried tying his legs together with yarn. i leave about 1 inch between the legs so he can still walk. i have not done this yet with quail but i do it with my chicken chicks. you might need to leave it on a little longer than day old chicks but i think it would work. hope this helps.
