Frizzles WON'T ROOST!? What to do?

GAWrgeous! I don't have Frizzles -- but my flight-challenged Showgirl began roosting after several nights of me lifting her up to the roosting pole. The roost in question is about 18" off the floor in a tight spot, so it's anybody's guess how she managed it.

Frizzle cochins bantams love the ground very much, there really don't roost much from what i have been learning on raising them.
If you put a roost low to the floor they may roost on it, but they love to cuddle together.

Mine are out in there own run and there coop is one of those hard plastic dog houses lifted off the ground.
and the hen lays her egg on the corner of there dog house.

While I've got your ear...when did your Frizzles start to lay? Mine are 5 months old and have not even started to think about it yet! (of course I have a white silkie that's almost 10 mos old who hasn't laid yet either!)

I'm still not sure if any of them are roosters, but they make a hysterical cooing noise that I've never heard any of my other chickens make, hopefully that's not a pre-Cock-a-doodle-doooo sound! I love these quirky little puff balls, they are a riot to watch run b/c their legs are so short!!!

do ou have new pics of them now? I am still thinking you may have all 3 girls.

Shay, here are pictures of them that I took today. Any gender guesses? I think Rachel (red) is a definite hen, but Monica (black) & Phoebe (white), ????? Let me know what you think!

well looking at those now, i think red and black are girls, the white one now looks really boyish in the face.

Don't know if anyone suggested this, but I would pick them up and put them on the roost a couple of nights til they get the idea. Mine didnt' roost either a first.
