Frizzles

Can someone school me on Frizzles? It is a gene right, not a breed? I hatched a chick two weeks ago, she is either a silkie or a cochin or a cross of the two. I think she may be a frizzle cause her feathers are turned out and she looks totally wild next to her broodmates. She doesnt have the 5 toes like silkies do so maybe she is a bantam cochin frizzle? I will see if I can figure out how to post a picture of her.

im not clued up and never kept them but what I know

frizzle can happen in any breed

its a mutation that causes the feathers to twist up

they are not a breed as such

except the cochin is known to have a frizzle type

more info im sure will be given by others with knolledge
