I am new at the frizzles,I have a few babies that are frizzle bantam cochins. Will a frizzle hen hatch out 50% frizzle chicks or does the frizzle rooster determine the percentage? Will a straight feathered hen hatch out frizzle chicks if the gene is in her background? And I have heard that frizzled chickens are more hyper and I have to say that I did have a bantam frizzle rooster one time and he was off the wall most of the time,he would attack the big roosters try to mate with the large girls and just non stop all the time.Have any of you found that to be true?

I've never noticed frizzles being more hyper. Only one parent should be a frizzle. Don't breed two frizzles.
Frizzles aren't a breed, it is just a gene. I think the personality comes from the other parentage and the fact that all chickens are individuals.

either parent being frizzled gives you a 50% chance on the babies being frizzled. A smooth hen can only have frizzled babies if the rooster she is with is frizzled. I have a frizzled rooster that's worse than the one you had, but the rest (including his sister) are normal birds

my frizzle hens were all mellow and very calm. the frizzle rooster on the other hand,..... well he was a very horny boy. ;)
