wasn't sure where to post this (mods-feel free to move it) but I find myself wanting to go the "next step." Would it be ducks, geese, turkeys? Thanks for any input!

Turkeys. I got some Bronze eggs and hatched them, got lucky with a Tom and a hen.

My vote goes to ducks too - they are such amusing creatures and I love to hear ducky voices in the field.

I went from chickens to ducks to turkeys and now to goats. Just make sure you have a lot of room for ducks because they are messy. I love watching them play in the water but I hate changing it. Then again I have too many! Now I'm downsizing my chickens and getting more goats. These addictions never end.

my hubby says that geese are mean, turkeys will mate anything, and ducks are dirty. I think it's cute how he's become an "expert."

On the other hand, he will build as many chicken coops as I want!
