Cover the part of the run that isn't under roof with a mouse chewed tarp. That will help keep snow out of the run this winter.


November 11

4 eggs today too! That means all 8 hens are laying.


Unless something drastic happens my next post will be on the "coon surprise" (insert evil laugh)

I have spent my evening staying up past my bedtime reading this whole thread! How fun; gotta check out that chicken cam. I'm afraid my chickens are not so lucky as yours. No electric lights or heated waterers for them. They've got it rough. And to add insult to injury they gotta share space with the ducks! Can't wait for the coon surprise! wonder if it will work on skunks?

Final part is made in Israel and has been backed order for.....EVER!

Was waiting for it to arrive so the Son and I was could make a short movie on the "Coon Surprise".

But with the present "SKY IS FALLING" mentaility over firearm controls, I think it's best if I don't post the "Coon Surprise"

Any update on the Coon Surprise?

Well....

The remaining item I needed to finish off my "coon surprise" was ordered May of 2012. Yesterday I got a call, it is ready to be shipped, do I still want it....let me think....I'm thinking.....YES!

Price went up $50 but they will honor the 9 month old price and lose money on the deal.. Wasn't their fault so I offer to split the difference with them. They accepted and threw in free shipping.

Had a buddy wire 110 to a metal plate on bird feeder, he could throw a switch from inside when he saw the buggers out there. hehehe
