Oops, apologies. This was a response to @SwampPrincessChick 's post about the broody problem. For some reason it didn't quote the post...
That's fine! Oh, Cruella is absolutely adorable with that crest!

Yes, I have an Old English Game Bantam cockerel. Well, I'm lying, because he has the wrong earlobe color and leg color, so I'm assuming he's either a hatchery quality Dutch Bantam or a Dutch Bantam/Old English Game Bantam hybrid, especially since Dutch Bantams are often bred to Old English Game Bantams to introduce new genetics. His body shape is not Dutch Bantam for sure.

Splendid! She has made her choice, it seems. As the older girls start mating, and eventually laying, they will make their choices as well. Personally, I value a female's choice more than my own when it comes to males
Well Hook doesn't really..... rooster.....like Snape does. Yet Snape is scared of Hook though. Weird bird. I know nothing of roo behavior.

I do know Kithara is staying so who knows what the girls will pick. He is quite handsome. I do notice I have a total of 5 cockerels. No one has answered me about taking them. Should I build them something for the backyard and let them free range? 🤔 I want them to have their best life.

Thank you!
Interesting! Whatever the case may be when it comes to his genetics, he is very pretty! I think his children would go broody successfully for you. Or as mentioned before, some OEGB pullets, if you're able to purchase more birds

They're both cokcerels, so they still are figuring things out, and silkies are slower to mature birds, but what does he not do, that a typical male his age does? I would suggest starting a bachelor flock with all the cull males, at least until you can get them into homes

Snape chases the girls, tries to mount them etc. Hook doesn't. He wing dances but they run so he just shrugs it off. He just does opposite of Snape. He doesn't herd the flock. He kinda hangs back. Doesn't walk with any of the ladies either. Just seems like he is more of a laid back fella.

As for the other bachelors. What are some good ideas? Hook free ranges wherever he feels like. Should I do that for the other babies? Cept maybe build them a house for nighttime? I don't want them to get killed though.
