Free range would be ok probably for Grinch as long as there are no predators, the silkies could but are more susceptible to not make it.

Grinch can join Pelican, Thales, Lucky, Kithara, and the rooster I can't remember their name and haven't had time to figure it out It's the beautiful orange bird with a pure black head and poof head. Pretty sure they are a roo.

Idk about rollers but definitely hair all crazy from rolling around while sleeping.

Yes, chickens eat sand. They also eat small rocks and other grit that will help them break down their food so it is easier to digest.

He was doing good but today he jumped at my 7 year old. Scratched him on the arm a bit. I didn't see what happened before. I am assuming he was running towards the chickens. Snape isn't a bad roo....just...strict? He is still on probation but after today he might wanna find a new job if he keeps it up.

It is a good thing that Snape was trying to protect his females, that is always a plus when it comes to having a male. I would flog anything that ran towards me as well, I would take that as a threat. It is best to put a stop to your kids running at roosters or the hens, as that will only make the male more aggressive when he sees humans threatening them.
