He's probably missing his flock like @fluffycrow stated, plus I'm sure he has to be in pain with that crop. I've never heard a chicken screech quite like that though.

Do you have any plain Dolculax soft gels? (The stool softener only, no laxative. Just Docusate Sodium 100 mg) 2 pricked open snd squeezed into his mouth.

Any Olive Oil instead? Coconut oil will work, not as well as either of the above but it's better than nothing. It should still help to dissolve an impaction.

I might have some normal ducolax. No olive oil but can grab some tomorrow.

He calls down slightly if we snuggle him. How do I go about getting him back into the flock?

It may be best to start a thread in the ER forums. Post photos, videos, etc. symptoms, age, what is fed, age of bird, housing, etc.
