I wish, but I doubt anything is fertilized when my rooster attempts to breed the hens from their side instead of behind them. I have also seen him go up to the hens and make them squat, and then proceed to put his foot on their back and just stare at them without trying anything else. And to think we got him for fertilized eggs!
I've heard of Tsouloufati before from you, and I have read your article, but I don't remember much about them. What egg color are they supposed to lay?
Well at least he kinda tries? My neighbor's rooster just dances at them, and when they dart off he just walks away.

That looks like red leakage, but probably not male specific, if you catch her in the daylight, get a broadside shot of herwhat a cute crest. Yeah, I think a splash or blue silkie would be fun to cross with her. No telling what other color genetics that black is hiding though. A true black x Blue would give you black and blue chicks, a true black x Splash would give you blue chicks. But if she has one copy of black and it's hiding something else, then who knows! Maybe I'll hatch a partridge that I can send your way for her, that might be interesting.

Well, I have seen one or two eggs that were probably fertilized because they had a big bullseye, but my thought is that the hens who laid those eggs escaped through the fence and got to another male. Because I doubt Phoenix fertilized them, unless the hen had a vent on the side of her body.
I'm positive I have. I got some light brown eggs during the first weeks of having these birds lay. Then a fox killed three birds (can't remember if it was three Tsouloufates and one ISA brown, or just three Tsouloufates) in the coop. From that point on I've had no brown eggs from them. Since the Tsouloufati pullet eggs are a significantly darker green than their mothers', I'm assuming Kolovos also carries brown egg laying genes

Well heck, this is just another sign that you NEED Grinch! He carries one silkie gene and all the pretty colors! He likely carries a blue egg gene copy too.
