Get serama pullets, you'll never be tossing those in with the rest, so it's fine anyways. Plus, you'll have serama

Hubs would find them. I don't have anywhere I can hide an incubator and then hide chirping babies lmao. Anyone want to lend me their basement or shed?Must not pass go, must not collect feathered pullets, must hatch chicks!
3 are laying now. I get about an egg a day between the 3. Though lately my 2 year old has been running into the chicken area and gathering the eggs. He's fast okay?! And has thrown a few. The wild cats love it when he does that.Have these girls started to lay eggs or are you still waiting?

Sorry, I keep losing track of my notifications! Yes, Jasper is a mix of something, I have no idea what, I assume Old English Game Bantam and Dutch Bantam? Actually, I have an idea, he's a mix of hormones and a chicken. That could be something to try! Don't go for the smaller types of serama though, the larger types should be fine, considering Jasper is small himself (he's your OEGB, Dutch Bantam mix, right?)

Actually, Jasper is kind of strange. He flogs me every time I walk past him, and he does dance a lot at his pullets. But I never see him mounting them. I just assume he doesn't mate much, but he does dance at everyone.Hmm, the serama girls might not enjoy that. I've noticed that they are far less tolerant of hormonal cockerels, compared to my other birds. They only tolerate their frisky males until the age of about 5, maybe 5 and a half months. Then anything less than chivalry and you don't get to mate
I also assume, for that reason, that the eggs of the pullets are unfertilized. I would want to hatch them, but I don't think anything would happen. I think it is a great coincidence that Jasper rarely mates and he only has two pullets, because if he was an aggressive breeder then that would be far too less females for him.Actually, Jasper is kind of strange.
