I just recieved my first shipment of shipped eggs. Ive had great sucess with hatching my own eggs, but not shipped eggs, so this will be a first. Out of 2 dozen 2 where broken, could of been worse right? 1 dozen Barred bantam rocks and 1 dozen BBS Orp bantams. Im realy wanting the Orps the most and with my luck the two broke where blue or splash pullets [IMG] Of course I cant tell wich are wich so they may of been the rocks. Question, how long must i wait to put them in the bator. They only came from about 3-4 hrs away. Can you tell wich is barred rock and wich is Orp, i wanted a better picture but my batteries are dead and in the charger.

Quote:I think it what your views are on this. I know some don't wait at all while other will wait 24 hours before they put them in the incubator. Myself I split it down the middle and let the eggs rest for about 12 hours. Good Luck with you hatch!
