With my first Runners April 2016 they were laying at 4.5 months old these girls hatched in April and June of 2019 and only the 2 oldest have just started. I like that actually letting them develop longer before laying because once they start. They don’t know when to quit. Did you just keep one drake from your last hatch?

Same thing happens when Cayuga ducks start laying - very dark. They then lighten up to gray.That’s fairly normal for black Runners. I believe that was how my Runner’s first eggs look like. Unfortunately, they're just green now.
