Hi, I have a Moscow male. He's 7 months old. He got frostbite on his feet and I brought him in. I kept him in the house for a week late. I thought everything was great. However, his foot has turned black and one of his toes is like disintegrating. I have him back in the house. I have soaked him in 35° water. I have put antibiotic cream on it. However, it's really bad. Could somebody help me? What do I do?

Welcome To BYC

Can you post photos of the foot?

It is often normal to lose toes and perhaps a foot due to frostibite depending on the severity.
Don't give up hope!

This article by @Allsfairinloveandbugs will give you a breakdown in caring for/treating Frostibite. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...to-know-about-injury-care-and-recovery.78168/

The article is based off her Original thread/journey which can be found here:

Call a vet, but he should heal ok. Are you sure it's not ammonia burns?

Looks like there will be loss of the tip of one toe and some webbing.
Can't tell about the other outer toe.
What should I do for him? I haven't been in the house. He's in a box. There's a heat lamp. I'm keeping him warm and cozy. I've been putting a triple antibiotic on all the dead skin. I don't know what else to do.
