hi, we are first time chicken owners and this is our first winter with them(and we live in New England) we put in a vent in in roosting area and a wireless thermometer that transmits back to a thing inside, we have noticed that even though we just put a vent in the humidity has not changed(around 69% and tonight an all time high of 93%) so why is this happening? Will this cause frostbite?

What junebuggena said. There has to be some flow through the coop.
Not a windy huge opening but another vent of decent size on a different wall.

By the way.... You won't get the humidity any lower inside then it is outside.
Do you keep an eye on what the outside humidity is?
