Frostbite

Hey y'all! I read somewhere about putting Vaseline on the combs and waddles of chickens to prevent frostbite. Is this something I should do for my guineas too?? I'm new to guinea fowl.

I use bagbalm! Toes, waddles and helmets everyday if the weather is below freezing. It's easy to apply if you grab them by their legs and hold them upsidedown and stroke their necks.I also keep a heating lamp in their coop just in case
