My good friend, when she was little and her parents had ducks, she told me her mom would go out to the every morning and rub vasoline into the ducks feet. A Thin layer.....not all goopied on their feet. It would keep their feet hydrated in the winter months when bathing wasn't always an available option. Sounds legit.....but I have never tried it. :idunno

Me either! Some one on here has to of tried it! Lol I’m new to being a duck Mom.. so I don’t really know much. Especially when it comes to winter.
 
I'm not sure if this ok with the OP but since this thread is called Frostbite, can we discuss frostbite further? Possible warning signs, ways of treating, and prevention. I am sure a lot of newbies(including myself) have or are going to research symptoms during this cold blast here in the upper USA. Just a thought.... no harm meant.
