Homemade chocolate frosting on a chocolate cake from scratch is the best!

Whipped cream icing- I even used to spray the can into a cereal bowl and eat it with a spoon.
Sometimes put chocolate syrup and a cherry on it - if there wasn't any ice cream to eat.
