I retired from the AF back in '05 and didn't get a job right away. I finally decided to go back to work, and decided that I wanted to be a night stalker at out local Menards. But they make me put stuff on the shelves... What's up with that? How can I be a good stalker if I'm putting stuff out and in plain sight?

Anyhow, after the 'guests' (I still want to call them customers) leave, the music from the speakers changes and the party is on. They play all different kinds of music, it's actually somebodies ipod plugged in and the ipod owner will take requests and load songs that we ask for. There is some country music, which I am not a huge fan of but I don't dislike it either. One song comes on every night, 'Mud on the tires'. Every time I hear it, I think of rebelcowboysnb and his muddin' video. It just makes me smile.

Congrats on the job.
I had to google Menards to see what it was. The name kinda makes imp brains trip.

Soon you'll be able to stalk, stock, and dance to country all at the same time.

We don't have a Lowes in our town, just Menards.

No congrats necessary, due to the oil fields we have a VERY strong job market. Businesses are having wage bidding wars trying to get employees, and advertise the wages on signs in front of the stores. Menards and Walmart are hiring on the spot during their weekly job fair. No resume and no references needed. Fill out an application, they make sure you have a pulse, send you for drug screening and you start work a few days later.

The down side is working 10+ hours a night six days a week. I miss you guys!

I love your signature, Imp!

Some of the best night stalkers hide in plain sight. Putting items on a shelf is a great cover. Remember, stealth is the key, and being retired AF already has you at the head of the pack.
