Froze to death... Or....

Well I have seen chicks that had wandered away and had gotten chilled enough to be pretty much dead. They even look squished, but with heating them up they come back. When things get hypothermia they can be dead or near dead and still come back.
The same has been done with reptiles and humans.
Really, every being on this planet can be widely anatomically different but so long as we have a heart we have at least one basic function in common; we have a muscle that pumps our blood whose rate slows down the colder it gets.
You get colder and colder and colder, and the heart gets slower and slower and slower. It can reach a near standstill but still be beating even if only a little. And so long as you warm the organism up slowly and steadily, you reserve a chance of bringing it back to life.
:)
So, yes, it may seem dead, but sometimes the chance still remains and I applaud @AnimalGeek23 for trying.

@2 many chickens Maybe you did not intend to be, but your message came across very rude. This person has a big heart and was doing everything she could to save an animal she thought maybe had a 1% chance to live. That's pretty cool in my opinion. Most people would have kicked it aside, as it sounds like you would've. Again, perhaps you didn't intend to sound that way, but next time try to sound a little more considerate.

I apologize if I came across as rude.
But yes, I would have left it where it was because I don't mess with dead wildlife.

Sorry again and good job for trying.
