Frozen Peas?

Glad you clarified, I had read that post as it rolled out and there was a lot of confusion over the "sweet pea" flower vs the vegetable. A lot of well intentioned but ill informed individuals can create panic unnecessarily. Thank you

Don't stress over the lima beans. They were in a frozen veg mix right? I thought that's what I read. Anyway, they are not good when raw, dry or undercooked. But the ones that are frozen are cooked and then flash frozen so I wouldn't think it would be an issue.

If your chickens are like mine, the bean plants will be eaten up long before any beans show up on them if they can reach them

I was eating strawberries out on the deck the other evening and the chickens and ducks came up to see what I had so i tossed some out and they pecked over them and walked away. No go on strawberries either. Now apples or peaches will get you mobbed around here but they grow very local so maybe they know that I can easily get plenty for them.

I did have a duck to lay on some frozen peas. Must have felt good but I have tossed them in the pools, tossed them into the food dishes and out in the yard and the next day they are still all there. However, they will eat the dried ones in the feed mix I buy in the winter.

We fence off the garden so I am not sure if they like the plants.
