Ok I know this is in no way related to our quilt thread here but I need some help and have posted a thread and gotten no help so hoping you all can help me out.
I have had a problem with egg production for almost three months now. Out of 23 hens of laying age I am getting maybe 3-6 eggs a day! I thought the hens were eating them as I would find remnants of the shells and yolk spots. One day I had a yellow breasted leghorn!! Anyways yesterday I went in early to check for eggs and saw a mouse scurry out of there. Pretty sure that little sucker is eating them. How do I kill the mouse without killing my chickens? I am afraid to put poison in there and afraid if I put a trap that my curious, nosy chickens will hurt themselves on it. Need some ideas please.
