Why do they insist on tryng to roost on the waterer. They keep knocking it over and making a big mess and leavin them with no water for the day
 
thats why I started hanging the water because not only were mine roosting in it... but they were pooping in it!
 
I am considering that but than i will have to figure out a differant way yo keep it from freezing. I had a warmer figured out for this way
 
I have a heating pad.. like the one you would use on a human.... well i wrap that around the body of the waterer (I have a plastic one) and its enough to keep it from freezing
 
I put a section of this on my waterier.

Its used to keep birds off building ledges. I just curled it up and set it on top.

I have thought about that. I am an exterminator so that stuff is easy to come by i just thought it could injure the bird if they rub agenst it.
