I noticed about two weeks ago that my 16 week old pullet had an enlarged crop. No worries, didn't think much of it. I only noticed because she started to make a gesture like she was gagging (I know chickens can't gag, but that was what it looked like).
Went on a vacation and came back, and it was still huge. She's on the larger side for her age, but her crop protrudes out and downward. I took her food away and tried Greek yogurt and oil. She ate that right up. She seems to still have a normal appetite, but I haven't witnessed any pooping in the past few days (even after 25 minutes of holding her, she didn't crap on me once). She isn't emaciated. I tried emptying her crop by massaging it and holder her upside down. She released a little, but nothing substantial like what I saw in other videos. When I touch her crop it feels soft like a water balloon. No change from night to day. She doesn't seem lethargic or to have any changes in personality. She's also been very accepting of everything I've tried. I tried to give her grit but she wasn't interested. Is it possible she's totally fine and I'm just overreacting? I don't want to keep putting her through massages and unnatural upchucking if there's nothing wrong. Is it possible it's something else entirely?
