Full grown hen killed today

I'm shocked one of our full grown barred rock hens was killed and half eaten in our fenced yard today in the middle of the afternoon in central Texas. Right next to our house. Pretty bold of the killer. They even tore her leg off. Any ideas what killed it?

Yikes. Poor thing. How high is the fence? Any holes dug underneath or do you think something climbed over? It doesn't look like a hawk attack. Only other think in central Texas during daylight would be a dog or fox.

It's a four foot field fence. I was thinking fox or maybe coon? think they'd do that? I'm leaning fox like you said. Maybe it got through the squares in the fence. They are brave!

I've known some foxes to be pretty devastating for many flocks im sorry this happened.
