the first thing I would suggest is dont get anymore until you dont have accidents. I have 6 dogs 2 cats 2 pigs a gerbil a tortoise and a chinchilla and we all live in my 1300sq ft house. (with my husband) My house doesnt stink because everyone's house broken, we clean litter boxes and cages daily and just keep things clean in general.
I am not a very good house keeper by nature, but I wanted all of us to live together and not in filth so I had to get better at it.
Natures miracle is wonderful and should help you here in the beginning.
Thanks everyone for your responses! Its good to hear about all your previous experiences. My friend's been strongly recommending me this Pet Stain Remover , anyone used it before?
Forgive me for hijacking this thread, but I had a quick question about this "Nature's Miracle" everyone is reccommending. Does it work for dog accidents as well or just cat?
I ask because my father has 3 small dogs that are not house broken in the least and the place STINKS to high heaven. He took out the carpets and padding because it was so bad but the smell has soaked into the wood underneath. 2 of the dogs I know will be put down in the next month or so (they are 15 year old yorkies, one is deaf with no teeth and the other is blind and is having seizures), but will this product help get the smell out of the wood?
I hate to see him and my step mom live like that. I mean they wash the floors with pinesol and water but it doesn't even touch it. The smell burns your throat
I vote Nature's Miracle also! It is amazing stuff. And as another poster asked if it works on dogs. It works on everything! They do have different types ie dog, cat and so on. All work great I even have used the allergy reducer being that my aunt is deathly allergic to cats and I had a house guest who brought a cat in for the day while I was gone ~ anywhos it took care of the problem so much my aunt didnt have any reaction. I love this stuff. I use it every time I shampoo the carpets and so on its just great! As for the wood smelling I would sand and reseal it.
I have one of the litter mate self cleaning litter boxes and it is awesome!! You do not have dirty litter sitting around, it all goes into the plastic container. I recommend it to anyone with a cat.
I use Zapsit. You can get it from bunnyrabbit.com or google it. As pets get old they are bound to have accidents or any of them will barf, especially cats, who pretty much live to barf.
