Full Moon Egg Setting Who wants to join?

My 2 eggs hatched and boy did I get a surprise! They were suppose to be silkie eggs but apparently my d'uccle got mixed in! So my babies are buff colored with 5 toes and silkie feathers but they have white skin and yellow feet lol my d'uccle is a millie so this might be interesting and my roo is a lavender/buff split.

One hatched, lots of rocking and rolling. Thought I had another pip, but closer inspection and I can't see it anymore...perhaps the eggs got knocked around a bit by the little one whos hatched already. This time I put down the rubber shelf liner with holes to try and prevent the eggs from getting knocked around so much! I had two last hatch that got shrink wrapped cause pieces of their shells got knocked off after they had pipped and they weren't ready to hatch...so I'm hoping this will help prevent that from happening. Very excited...checking the bator every couple of minutes...come on babies!!

WOW!!! LOTS OF PIPS, ZIPS & CHICKIES!!!

My hatch day isn't until tomorrow, but I came home from work this morning and checked for pips anyway. I had my face all the way in the incubator, checking for pips on the other side of the bator. I looked up to the edge, and three inches from my face, was a chick, hatched, but still in the shell!!! Needless to say, it almost scared the crap out of me!!! I know that sounds stupid, but I just wasn't expecting a chick, and I guess I thought it was the incubator monster!!!

SO, I have a chick!!!

Hope everyone had a good hatch. All of my D'Uccle's hatched, had to help four, I guess it is true about pullet eggs they stared zipping then stopped, to big for the turn around. I have 4 Mille and 4 porcelain. Out of the Silkies I got 1 Buff, this Silkies thing isn't going well for me. I well post pics this evening. Michele
