I just found one exactly the same today under my broody, She only has one live chick from the six eggs I set under her (the rest were yucky stink bombs) It was so sad to find one like this so near yet so far~ I guess its just one of those things

My very first incubation experience i had no live births, most were duds, but two had fully formed EE chicks. Looked just like that one of yours. So sad to see them come so close just to die.
