Update: I just talked to my Dad...he said she has 5 broken ribs, broken hip (left side) and a 3 cm laceration on her spleen. They are sending her to ICU to keep an eye on the spleen...hopefully they won't have to repair it surgically. So far, it isn't causing problems... She has asthma, so they are watching her for pneumonia because cracked ribs will make it hard for her to take deep breaths, or cough, etc...

She's lucky to be alive...God was watching over her.

Trina is doing OK...no serious injuries. She busted her lip, and hurt a finger...now that she has settled down a little, she's starting to feel the soreness creeping in. Both Robbie (my sis) and Trina are 31.

Basically, they were riding near each other, side by side and the waves from a passing boat caused them to run in to each other. I'm not sure of their exact speed, but probably in the 20-30 mph range. Trina didn't see it coming...one second she's having fun riding the waves, and the next she's flying through the air and then under water. Luckily a witness called for help right away. We may get more details of what they saw later...

I hope your sister and Trina are both doing alright today? I know the broken ribs is probably the most frightening thing for you guys right now with her asthma. Did Trina get looked at by a doctor, too? I know there are a lot of injuries that can be well hidden and I am sure she is hurting all over today. I hope they are both 100% better soon!

I just got home from Robbie and Trina's house...I'm taking care of their pets until they can come home - 4 dogs (1 sick and on meds twice a day), 2 cats and fish. I was only able to talk to Trina a few seconds this morning...she's really sore and hasn't been looked at yet. My Mom is driving to Austin right now (parents are divorced, Mom lives in Dallas 3.5 hours away). Mom will definitely make sure that everyone and everything is taken care of...she'll make SURE Trina is OK. Robbie is nauseous and in pain.

I have some pics from yesterday that I need to get off my camera...I'm not even sure what all I have yet...I'll try to post something soon.
