Fun in the sun...and warmth

One week old yesterday and the girls are flying!!! I lowered their inside home to the floor today. Last night when I was changing the water one of the reds flew up to the top, 15" surprised the heck out of me. All I need was one to fly out and not know the ground is another 2 1/2 feet lower, I would feel awful!

I put my 2 week olds out , and within 5 minutes they were heat stressed in the sun at 86 degrees. In the shade, they're fine.
Standard Hen, I had to laugh when you complimented the tractor in that it is great for adding to the flock. --always the addiction! Karen

Put the girls out today for the afternoon...our neighbor who has a "small zoo" in his basement dropped by with crickets...what a riot watching them, they were all trying to steal each others crickets and the rir's won!

What is the esteemed members thoughts on the previous picture...do you think Lucy might be Ricky? Both my reds have a comb, but one is more pronounced along with its tail feathers. "It" will be 3 weeks on tuesday...

Silly picture, but I love it, the "chicks" will be 5 weeks on tuesday...still clueless as to how many roosters, I am no longer referring to them as "the girls!"
