Fun with chickens - OR - Can you tell who is who?

This spring like a lot of others here we 'adopted' a few tiny fuzz balls. It's almost the end of summer now and the chickens are doing great. My girls are almost all grown up now and I think they all turned out to be beautiful hens. Thankfully no one turned out to be a rooster. So far no one is laying eggs yet, but I think they'll start here pretty soon. My DH ( who is not a chicken fan

) tells them every weekend to start with the eggs or they'll make great chicken and dumplings come fall ( kidding ). The chickens ( who are not my DH's fans ) heckle him with crazy sounds .. the relationship is quite funny to watch.

They still think I'm their mama chicken, I go in there and they come running to see me and to see if I brought them any goodies. The dogs totally ignore the coop and run now too .. so it's all working out pretty well.

Okay you have to guess who is who .. here they are again as babies and the chicks are labeled :

Here they are as adults .. we shall call them chicken A, B & C. See if you can guess who is who.

Chicken A is the smallest and she's ringleader of the bunch, she's always the first to investigate and is very bossy bird

Chickens B lives by the chicken little code of life .. the sky is falling, the sky is falling .. she's the biggest drama queen. If my DH even looks at her, much less touches her you can hear her scream all the way out front.

She ended up being my only 'beardless lady'. The other two have huge beards.

Chicken C is the biggest of the bunch and also the biggest baby. .. she's the quietest and sweetest. She'll basically climb in my lap if I sit down out there .. she loves to get pet.

I'd guess A is Olive, B is Clover and C is Hazel......

They are beautiful!!!!! But, really....who's who????

clover is chicken B...she is hiding behind the other two in the brooder.

I'm going to guess that Hazel is Chicken A, Clover is Chicken B, and Olive is Chicken C. Very beautiful girls!!

If you compare 'baby pictures to adult pictures you can compare the beard/muffs--so here is my opinion!:

Baby Clover has no beard /muff in her baby pictures, so she would be Chicken B
Baby Hazel has a small beard / muff in her baby pictures. so she would be Chicken C
Baby Olive has a large beard/muff in her baby pictures , so she would be chicken A

Your girls are beautiful...

I have no real clue, but looking at their faces, that seem right to me! When do we get to know the real answer?

Today is back to school .. so I had to run and grab the kids.

Some of you got it, great deductive reasoning!

Chicken A is Olive .. she was the largest as a baby and had the fuzziest face .. she still has the biggest beard, but now she's the smallest chicken.

Chicken B is Clover .. she was beardless as a chick and still is.

Chicken C is Hazel .. she was so tiny, the smallest little chick in the feed store box. Now she's much bigger than the other two. She had the second fuzziest face and now has a beard, but it is smaller than Olive's.
