fungal infection with peachick?

Wondering if anyone has experience with this... I have a peachick, just picked him/her up this morning. About 4 months old, India blue. Sounds congested to me. Was told aspergelosis is common in peas this time of year around here (I'm in CT and it's wicked wet and moldy here). Needs some kind of mico statin or oral antifungal med, but I can't seem to find anyone to help. Really it's going to cost me $85 for a vet to come out and write a script? I feel like if it's that common someone must know of something that resolves it relatively easily... Thanks for any advice!

If you live near a farm supply store there may be something there that you will be able to treat it with. Call them to see if they have anything to take orally for fungal med.
Do some searches on treatments for peafowl on this site and regular online search engines. I had gathered alot of docs for treating peas , then my computer crashed and I have not replaced them. This link would be a good start:

Baytril or tylan 200 has been recommended on here with good success. Remember for invections to peas give it in the back of the neck under the skin and not in a breast muscle.

I have used Flocunazole for ringworm and yeast infections (both fungi) in my dogs, but i havent used it on peas. You will have to get a prescription from your vet if you want to buy it from Drs Foster s and Smith online-plus shipping will take some time. OTherwise your vet may give you something. Some vets will not not give meds unless they get an office visit out of it. Some will not do poultry.

She is still coughing. Can't seem to get a vet to come out here. I did acquire some medication to treat it from someone who had a similar issue last season, so hopefully if that is what it is, I'll clear it up. I also ordered some antibiotics from Randallburkey online. Not sure if it would be the right stuff to treat though, any thoughts on that? Ordered LS to treat chronic respiratory infections in chicks and ordered a broad spectrum antibiotic.
I'm in Chester CT, near Killingworth and Essex... Right near the CT River. Southington is a little ways I think, usually anything off 95 is reasonable, no other highways near me.

I've used Tylan 50 anti biotic bought at Tractor Supply and had great results with it for different frights my young birds have given me. Good luck....it's so frustrating not knowing what to do.

I ordered LS50 and Penchlor. Not exactly sure what I'm doing, but it seems a lot of this is going with your gut...
Unfortunately, in CT we don't have a tractor supply! Nowhere here do they have a shelf with poultry meds that I can browse, so I went to the internet. I don't remember seeing if there was tylan 50 on the list there or not... I'll have to look again and see if any of what I ordered already has the same biotics.
She is still coughing this morning, but looks ok. She's strong, eating, and not fluffed or distressed looking. I say she, pretty sure it's a male, now but really hoped it was a hen. Looks like both of mine are Romeos... Those gold feathers are coming in along the bottom of the wings. Guess I'll be in the market for a peahen or some more chicks come spring.

Tylan 50 isn't a poultry med, using it for birds is 'off label'. It's actually made for cattle and swine, our feed store has it over by cattle meds.

What is the dosage that you use for your birds? Assuming dosage won't be on there for the birds if it's off label...
I knew you guys would all have tricks up your sleeve... I refuse to be paying vets their astronomical fees when there are plenty of people out here who know how to treat the stuff with over the counter meds.

There are tractor supply stores in CT. There is one in Bristol/Farmington, New Milford, Enfield and Barkhamsted.
