My 11 month old Easter Egger has this strange white looking stuff with dark splotches around her comb and ear area. She acts perfectly fine and doesn’t seem bothered by it, her poop is normal and she’s eating and drinking just fine. Should I worry about this and take her to the vet?

Are both sides the same, or is it just one side of the head? Can you post a pic of the other side? It's very hard to tell but are there scabs there? Have you tried cleaning it up some? I just can't tell if there is injury or infection around the ear, it does look a bit swollen. If the vet is an option for you then that is always best.

the other side is just white with brown. The black spot on her left side is rock hard and I cannot wipe it off with a tissue or a wet cloth

She might have scratched at her ear or have been pecked in the ear and hard scabs have formed. The left ear itself looks possibly like there is a little infection, which can be from a virus, bacterial infection or mites. You could clean it out with a little peroxide and QTips, and apply some plain antibiotic ointment to the ear and the scabs.
