Funky egg yolk

Any idea what it is?

Could it possibly be an old egg that went bad??? One that somehow got hidden in a nest somehow??? Are there more like this from that chicken??? Definitely DON'T EAT THAT GANGRENE.

That's odd... the white looks fine and not old or bacteria infested... maybe a bad hiccup in the reproduction system, some shed lining of the tubes, perhaps?

I did toss as soon as I took a picture. It came from a young hen inside a egg a bit bigger than a fairy egg. She has been laying fairy eggs here and there. This was the largest she has laid. It looked as if there was organ material inside that sac. I don't have Roos so it can't be a fertilized egg. Strange!!!

Did you dissect it any further?
Must be a piece of tissue..a large one.
Keep an eye on her.....she may be a dud.
