Funniest Chick Moments

So, what's your funniest chick moment? We're at day 1 of chick parenting, just shy of 12 hours. These have to be the two funniest things.

1) The stretch and topple. A chick will lift and stretch one leg, usually to the rear and end up falling over forward.

2) The mirror. Everyone loves the mirror. We have a small parakeet mirror in the brooder, about 2 inch by 3 inch maybe. Perhaps able to see 2 fuzzy butts in the mirror. However, the entire flock will huddle there, impatiently jockeying for position to get in front of the mirror so they can peck at the chick!

Haha! I havent tried a mirror in my brooder. But they all peck at the thermometer! It is the funniest thing! They all huddle around it and peck at it. Then one will go behind it and push it over and they will stand on it like its a stage. We finally decided to hang it up so they cant reach it. But it was funny when it lasted! haha!

Has to be chicken football. I throw a worm into the brooder; one grabs it and RUNS all the others charge after it stealing it away as often as they can - this lasts as long as the worm does.....so funny!

My funniest thing so far has been the chicks chasing a stink bug that got in the brooder!

One caught it and it changed mouths about 4 times b4 my barred rock downed it!

Hilarious! It's like chicken olympics!

We r going to Petsmart tomorrow to get some crickets for them.

Then we r gonna sit back and enjoy the show!

I am going to try the mirror thing! We tried putting all our chicks in a small box to move them from one brooder to another. Since they can sort of fly and can certainly jump, it did not go very well. It was sort of like a chicken tornado.
