Funny Chick Story

One week and my babies are adjusting to their new home. My three are Buffy-a buff orphington and Cortana and Chicken Nugget, both gold sex links. They have a homemade brooder on my bathroom counter. The family goes in and out all day visiting and talking to the Chickens. They love the company and are very affectionate.

My son made a trip to actually use the facilities and didn't stop to say hi to them. I could hear them yelling at him and then heard him shout. Buffy got out of her brooder and flew over to his lap. LOL...he was stunned.

When my husband showers they like to perch on the edge of the brooder and talk to him. It's very entertaining.

I had a chick just like that....When we moved them into my garage, (they were feathered out and getting to big for the dog crate) that one chick would peep all night if I was not in there with her! I tried to sneak out, but I was caught each time by the chick patrol!!

Yeah, we are getting 10 more on the eighth! I will have lots of funny chick stories then!

Here is one for you:

My friends had come over to see the chicks. I let out three at a time on an old tablecloth, one put a chick up on her shoulder. " Isn't she adorable!" My friend cooed. "I wouldn't to that....." I replied. Suddenly she shrieked and put the chick on the floor. "IT POOED ON ME!!!" Of course, after that one had a bowel movement, everyone wanted to hold THAT chick. It had no chance of poo-ing on them. XD
